Atletico exited the MFL League Cup losing away at Premier division Quorndon, featuring a
number of ex AFC players in their side.
AFC were up against it within the first 10 minutes conceding two early goals, first Bobby
Moseley capitalised on a slip from Chris Hollist to give Quorn the lead in the third minute,
then Omar Haughton doubled the lead 3 minutes later. Hinckley began to get back into the game
but took until 10 minutes before half time to have their first shot on target, Jean Dakouri
firing straight into the arms of Russel Hoult, before James Jepson forced the keeper down low
to save from his free kick.
Hinckley huffed and puffed for the second half, but Quorn dealt easily with the lone threat of
Jordan Wilson up front and they never took any risks with their 2 goal lead. In the final stages
an excellent 15 yard curling shot from Joe O’Neil brought the second half into life late on, and
then Daniel Dubidat added a fourth to ensure Quorn progress to the next round.
