Hinckley AFC 3 - 1 Hereford Lads Club
A deadly 10 minutes after half time set up Atletico to go through into the 3rd round of the FA Vase, but not without a great battle from Hereford Lads Club.

Even though the first half was goal less there was plenty of action and it was the Lads Club that started the better, for the first 15 minutes taking the game to AFC. Pushing forward on both flanks, enjoying the favour of the wind, but not creating enough chances to threaten George Warren in the Hinckley goal. The closest being a long range effort that the wind curled and dipped but drifted just wide of the post. Hinckley grew into the game and finished the stronger of the last 20 minutes of the half, forcing a series of corners, and just before half time looked to have taken the lead when Sam Belcher's 25 yard free kick curled around the wall and was heading into the top corner before Steven Bell made a superb save and somehow managed to tip the ball away with his finger tips.

It was Hinckley's turn to come flying out of the blocks second half and took the lead in the first minute when Jordan Wilson lost his marker in the area and collected a through ball from Jean Dakouri, that he slotted past Bell as he raced out. 10 minutes later and the lead was doubled, a free kick was played central and headed clear by the Hereford back line, only for the ball to fall to Belcher 15 yards out who volleyed into the top corner. This stung Hereford into action, who got a goal back just after he hour when Adam Hockey took the ball into the area then forced wide by Warren, but did enough to cross the ball back in for Brad Williams to tap into the unguarded net. The final 30 minutes produced a great cup tie where action was end to end as the game opened up as both sides went in search of goals. Hereford will be ruing a couple of golden chances as Williams was well placed but miss hit his shot and went wide across the right face of the goal, and then Chris Gwynne found himself at the back post unmarked as a cross came to him, but hit his shot first time and somehow shanked the ball the wrong side of the post with the goal gaping. These misses were punished right on time as Wilson ran with the ball into the Lads area and a tired tackle from Jordan Williamson saw him bring down the AFC forward, the ref awarding the penalty. Belcher took the responsibility stepped up and blasted the ball into goal, settling any nerves for AFC fans, and sending Hinckley into the 3rd round draw.
