Atletico continue with the disappointing finish to the season losing to Studley, with Steve
Hart scoring a late consolation goal, though holding on to a top six place on goal difference. A fourth game in seven days for Atletico resulted in a very even first half with few chances for either side. AFC were caught out on the break with a minute to half time when a left wing cross went deep to the far right post for an unmarked Andy Nichol to blast in from close range. Studley increased their lead on the hour with a beautiful volley from Chris Cowley, converting another left wing cross, before adding a third with 1 minutes remaining when Nichol won possession in midfield and ran past a number of tired tackles to the edge of the area and fired past Carl O'Neill into the right corner. Steve Hart added a late consolation, and recorded his 50th goal of the season for AFC, when in the final minutes he cut inside from the left channel and fired across Young in the Bees goal, into the far corner. click here for: Studley details |
