Atletico saw the FA Vase run come to an abrupt end being comfortably beaten by the favourites
for the competition Marske United at Billingham Town Bedford Terrace ground.
The tie was switched from Marske as having been postponed once already, the pitch was still
struggling with water, however giving up home advantage didn't stop Marske in any way. AFC
were right up against it as Marske scored with their first attack and the game was lost in
a 10 minute spell just before half time. Richard Munday was sent off for a challenge on 37
mins, the resultant penalty converted and then Marske added 2 more goals before the half
time whistle. With AFC chasing the game and looking at damage limitation, Marske added a
fifth early in the second half. Comprehensively beaten, but AFC can look forward to a second
round entry in next season's Vase competition having reached this fourth round.
