Hinckley AFC 6 - 0 Nuneaton Griff
Atletico comfortably swept aside Nuneaton Griff scoring 3 goals in each half, with George Bowerman and Sean Williams helping themselves to a brace.

The first half an hour was pretty tight with Nuneaton clearly having a game plan that was to prevent AFC from playing football, and that plan restricted Hinckley for 20 minutes, but soon began to get a grip on the game. Sam Agar forced George Woodward into a diving save and then George Bowerman also did the same, before Griff replied with through Matt Brennan making Haydn Whitcombe get down low to his right. However once Sean Williams opened the scoring on 28 minutes it was pretty much one way traffic for AFC. Williams received the ball on the right and cut into the area where he was brought down for a penalty, Williams got up to take the spot kick and sent Woodward the wrong way. 2 minutes later, Williams scored a screamer as he again received the ball in the right channel and drove to the edge of the area unleashing a swerving shot giving Woodward no chance. Then minutes after that Griff were stunned as AFC added a third, after great work from Bowerman on the left resulted in him forcing Woodward to save but Agar picked up the loose ball, squaring it back into the centre for Lee Butler to smash into goal.

The second half continued in one way traffic as the first finished. Bowerman fired just over, then saw a cheeky lob caught by Woodward, before the fourth goal was scored just after the hour. New signing Lee Miveld had been on the pitch for 5 minutes as a debut substitute when he combined with Agar on the edge of the area then guided the ball just beyond the reach of Woodward. Bowerman finally got the goal his work deserved with 20 minutes remaining, as Isaac Cooper cut in from the left and his shot was deflected onto the bar, where it dropped down to Bowerman to head into the net. And to round off the nights scoring Bowerman added his second as Agar got to the line on the right and crossed for Bowerman to blast into the roof of the net from close range.
