Atletico returned to winning ways in the league comprehensively beating Studley, with goals from
Paul Sullivan, Ryan Seal, James Williams and Mark Williams.
With central defenders Jamal Clarke and Jack Farmer unavailable, a forced change to the line up saw
Jacob Sturgess make his first start for the club alongside Mark Williams at the back. The first half
an hour was all Hinckley, and Alistair Lewis in the Studley goal was kept busy. Lewis was forced to
smother an early shot from Seal, and then had to be at full stretch to tip over a Sullivan curling
effort. On the 20 minute mark Lewis was again on hand as he pushed around a Javia Roberts low cross,
resulting in a series of corners for Hinckley which led to the opening goal. From a corner the ball
was played central and James Williams rose highest to glance the ball past Lewis into the right of
the goal. 5 minutes later AFC doubled their lead, this time it was James Williams that provided the
cross after a great overlapping run, putting the ball into the patch of Sullivan who fired home from
15 yards out. Studley finished the half with a little more gusto and got a goal back shortly before
half time when a corner to the near post was headed in by Gareth Evans.
The lead was extended back to two goals in the first minute of the second half as Lee Thomas, on his
50th appearance for the club, made an excellent run down the left and as he cut into the area was brought
to the ground, the referee awarding a penalty. Ryan Seal stepped up and made no mistake from the penalty
spot. 10 minutes later came the best goal of the game and effectively sealed the points with a free kick
30 yards out, that Sullivan curled around the wall and out of the reach of Lewis into the bottom right
corner of the goal. With 15 minutes remaining AFC added the gloss with a fifth goal, again a Sullivan
free kick from distance this time saved by Lewis, but he could only parry the ball into the path of
Mark Williams who blasted the ball into the net, scoring his first goal for the club.
