The Midland Football League AGM took place in June and the Constitutional
line up for all divisions was ratified and voted upon. However due to an appeal by
Alvis Sporting, line ups could not be finalised until that hearing took place.
Coventry United were champions of Division One and promoted into the Premier division,
Southam United and Pelsall Villa finished in relegation places but were both reprieved
due to other factors. Pilkington XXX resigned from the league and Bardon Hill who were
relegated from the Premier division did not want to be placed in the Midland division,
so also resigned from the league. Continental Star at their own request were relegated
two divisions from the Premier and therefore placed in Division Two. Alvis Sporting were
Champions of Division Two, but upon their grading were found not to have sufficient
criteria even to be members of Division Two, so instead of promotion were demoted to
Division Three. Upon appeal that was upheld by the FA this Saturday Alvis were reinstated
into Division Two confirming that runners up Chelmsley Town were promoted to Division One.
Leaving the division with 19 teams Uttoxeter Town, who only resigned at the end of last
season were promoted from 5th place in the Staffordshire Senior League. Full Division
