2015-2016 Season Player awards
Atletico Hinckley held their end of season presentation night, and looked back at a season of consolidation in the league, finishing 5th, just one point less than last season. Also reflecting on a superb first ever run in the FA Cup reaching the 2nd qualifying round, including knocking out the eventual Southern Premier League play off finalists Redditch United, coupled with a run in the Vase to the first round losing out away to Long Eaton in extra time. And to cap off the season winning the Leicestershire Senior Cup in style.

Awards presented:

Clubman of the Year: for all his work on promotional posters and in compiling the programme and generating all the artwork the club needs for any of it's projects, Richard Pyatt was awarded Clubman of the Year

Players Player: a solid and mostly consistent presence in midfield the players looked towards Midfield anchor man Darious Darkin as their Player of the Season.

Managers Player: for his runs from deep through the middle, his tricky wing play, his constant thorn in oppositions side, and his ability to bring out the worst tackles from Bromsgrove players, Carl Abbott awarded his Player of the Season to Sean Williams.

Supporters Young Player: few who saw him on his debut against Tipton looking like Bambi on ice, would believe the progress this young man has made. Being consistent over the last two seasons, racking up 70 appearances and incredibly looking likely to be the first AFC player to 100 and slotting into the back line in 3 possible positions, the supporters voted Mitchell Tomlinson as their Young Player of the season.

Supporters Player Runner Up: the fans obviously agree with the Manager, and after a close vote Sean Williams was also voted as Supporters Player Runner Up of the season.

Supporters Player: only with the club since November, but his determination and effort for the side were certainly noticed. Not a player to rack up the goals tally, but a work horse behind the scenes on the pitch doing the hard work to allow the goal scorers to be in the position to score the goal. Lee Thomas was voted the Supporters Player of the season. He told the Official website: "I’m shocked to get the award. There are a few players who have been here since the beginning of the season so I’m quite chuffed to get the award. I think I’ve put my heart and soul into everything football-wise and to the club" - which is exactly why he won the vote.
