Hinckley AFC 4 - 1 Pilkington XXX
Sam Agar cemented his place in the the Atletico side, following the departure of Marco Adaggio, by scoring all four goals in this win over an industrious Pilkington XXX.

Hinckley were in command early on going 2-0 up within the first quarter hour. First Luke Richards did well to reach a through ball and keep it in play, pulling it back to Isaac Cooper who crossed beautifully for Agar to guide his header past Reece Francis in the Pilks goal. Second, Cooper's through ball for Ryan Seal saw him take the ball into the area and cross low for Agar to blast in from close range. The early set back for Pilkington stung them into action and the rest of the half was much more even. However for all of Pilks good approach play there was no final product and Tom Cross was rarely troubled.

The second half and Pilkington came out on the front foot looking to get back into the game, keeping Hinckley under pressure and forcing the defence to sit deep. The pressure finally told when a clumsy challenge from Greg Pearson gave away a penalty just after the hour, but Cross was equal to the spot kick pushing Dale Kenney's shot away for a corner. The defence however went missing for the corner and Kieran McCalla found himself first to a loose ball slotting home from close range. The rejuvenated Pilkington then increased the pressure looking for an equaliser, but also left more space at their back for Hinckley's attack to exploit, resulting in a final 25 minutes of end to end football. Agar was guilty of missing a great chance when closing in on goal a cross was open to 3 Hinckley attackers in the goal area, but he chose to shoot. However with 5 minutes remaining Agar made up for that, and more, first by finally beating the Pilkington offside trap and coolly lifting the ball of Francis from the edge of the area completing his hatrick, and then minutes later made a run into the goal area getting on the end of a Richards cut back flicking the ball past Francis at his near post making it four for him and Hinckley, and ending Pilkington's resistance.
