Both sides struggled to play football in a ridiculous howling gale and a score draw
was a fair result in the circumstances, with a Ryan Seal equaliser cancelling out
Rob Bunn's goal for Littleton.
Storm Barney was the major player on the night dictating play, with the wind blowing
fiercely diagonaly across the pitch. Littleton had the better of the first half with
the wind advantage, but didn't take the lead until first half injury time, when a soft
free kick on the edge of the area was wind assisted into the top corner by Bunn.
The wind was in favour of AFC for the second half and nearly equalised immediately but
for an excellent reaction save by Haydn Whitcombe to push an Alex Penney back heel onto
the bar. Despite the wind Hinckley did struggle to break down a solid Littleton defence,
until 10 minutes before full time when a neat passing move between Sean Williams, Nathan
Walker and Ryan Seal, let in the latter one on one with Whitcombe, and Seal scored to
earn Atletico a share of the points.
