Atletico's pre season came to a close with defeats at home to Barwell and then away
to Sporting Khalsa, before an encouraging win at AFC Wulfunians and a draw at Chasetown. It was also a chance to see new signings the vastly experienced Neil MacKenzie, formerly of Stoke City, Cambridge United, Mansfield, Notts County and Tamworth, along with Simon Johnson, previously with Leeds United, who returns to the club having played a few games last season. Gaining two experienced midfielders, but also losing two experienced midfielders as the club announced that JJ Melligan and Avun Jephcott would not be signing on for the coming season. |
