Jack Hartopp's clean sheet against his former club contributed to a 0-2 Atletico victory,
opening a gap at the top of the league, and stretching the unbeaten run to 21 games.
On a very windy day football was almost unplayable, but Hinckley adapted better to the
conditions. Even kicking against the wind first half AFC created the better chances and
Bryce in the Alvis goal was the busier keeper. With the wind in the second half it was
almost all Hinckley, and it was only minutes old when Ross Clarke scored his first goal
for the club, and what a goal. Receiving the ball 35 yards from goal, he let fly with
the wind behind him and Bryce had no chance with the ball moving all over the place and
rocketing into the top corner. Bryce was well placed to thwart another Ex Alvis player,
when he saved from Michael Healy, but could do nothing to stop Hinckley's second. Clarke
played in an inch perfect cross to Marco Adaggio to head home, and give AFC a 2-0 victory.
