Hinckley AFC 2 - 0 Coventry Copsewood
Atletico ended the month with 5 wins, and set a new Midland One record of 18 league games unbeaten, as goals from Nathan Walker and Marco Adaggio saw off Coventry Copsewood.

Another large crowd turned up, including a party from club sponsors DPD, to see Hinckley stretch their run to 20 games unbeaten in all competitions. It could have been a different story if Copsewood had a little composure in front of goal, as an early chance for them fell to Liam Cairns who capitalised on a defencive error, only to blast over when having the whole of the goal to aim for. For Hinckley JJ Melligan headed narrowly wide after good work from Adaggio on the left, before Dom Smith saw his effort was tipped onto the bar by James Costello. The Copsewood goal led a charmed life as the Walker/Smith set piece combination continued to prove a real threat. Smith headed a Walker corner past Costello only to see Michael Quirke dive to his left to head the ball off the line, and the ensuing corner was smothered by Costello. Hinckley did take the lead just before half time with a well worked move involving Luke Richards and Walker, setting up the latter to blast past Costello 10 yards out.

The second half saw a dearth of goal chances as the game became more of a midfield battle, but Copsewood's players were amassing the yellow card count as they looked to stop the AFC wide men. A rare chance for Copsewood saw Sam Arnold save from James Ritson and Danny Kavanagh was on hand to sweep the ball away from goal. Coventry's discipline caught up with them 10 minutes from full time when one foul too many saw Andy Wilson-King receive his second yellow card and was sent off. AFC took full advantage to double their score right on full time when Rob Millington did really well to win the ball on the edge of the Copsewood area then play a though ball for Adaggio to guide past Costello, celebrating with a back flip in front of the home fans. With a final score of 2-0 and results going the AFC way elsewhere, Atletico went top of the table to put the icing on a perfect day.
