At the inaugural Hinckley AFC Annual General Meeting, the results for the Board of Directors
elections were revealed and members learned who the 7 people were that had been elected to take
the club forward.
The AGM started with interim Chairman Gary Hancox reminding us how far the club had come
in such a short space of time and thanking all those individuals who had volunteered their
time to make it happen.
This was followed by the Treasurer's report and Linda Newman informing the members of the
current breakdown of the club's finances.
Chris Kealey then took to the platform with an appeal to members. Kealey, a local prospective
politician, spoke not as a political representative but as a member of the club, and suggested
ways that all the members could take action to highlight the club's desire to return to
playing football in Hinckley.
Finally the independently counted votes had been verified, and the results of the ballot were thus:
Nominated Members elected to the Board of Directors are:
Russ Abbott
Ron Ashby
Richard Gamble
Gary Hancox
Steve Jelfs
Laura McManus
