Atletico Club Hinckley 1 - 2 Sporting Club Bromsgrove
Hinckley AFC suffered a narrow defeat in this tight game, losing 1-2 to Bromsgrove though would be disappointed not to have drawn following an equalising goal ruled out in the last minute.

Bromsgrove started the better and did most of the pressuring first half, whilst Hinckley struggled to get the ball wide and when they came forward were repelled by a disciplined Sporting back line. Though chances were few and far between for both sides, it was Sporting who took the lead just after the first quarter, a free kick was played into the area from the left to the far post, headed back across goal and Josh McKenzie lost his marker and was free to head past Sam Arnold.

Atletico were a better team for the second half, and it was their turn to do the pressuring, though ultimately would be disappointed not to convert the chances. Luke Richards struck back for AFC 10 minutes into the half after a good run from Sean Williams down the right, and crossed central for John Melligan to shoot goal wards, only to see Jake Bedford parry his effort, right into the feet of Richards who made no mistake from 2 yards out. However a lapse of concentration almost immediately let Bromsgrove go back in front. A long ball down the middle was not cleared by the AFC defence despite two attempts, and it ran free to the left of the area for McKenzie to run onto and shoot at Arnold who made the save, but couldn't hold onto the ball, leaving McKenzie to follow up and side foot into the net. Hinckley changed their system slightly and brought on the young James Tindall who immediately injected some life into the AFC attack, but Hinckley still didn't create many chances despite their increased posession. With minutes remaining Hinckley thought they had scored an equalising goal, after great work by Tindall on the right pulling the ball back to Craig Bennett just outside the area who unleashed a shot that went through all the players in the area and into the corner of the goal. Unfortunately the officials managed to find an offside that no one else could see and the goal was ruled out, leaving the final score 1-2 to Bromsgrove.
