With only a month to go before the pre-season friendlies start Hinckley AFC announced
a further four signings.
Carl Abbott has filled the important goal keeping role by signing an experienced stopper
alongside a young up and coming keeper. Former Kidderminster, AFC Telford and Chasetown
keeper Steve Taylor has agreed to sign who brings with him wide experience of the top
levels of non league. With him between 'the sticks' will be Matthew Martin, who joins from
Tipton Town. A young highly regarded prospect at level 5 and 6, has also spent time at
Gornal Athletic, Bustleholme and AFC Wulfrunians.
Also adding to the defence, Abbott has brought in two central defenders,James Loney and
George Williams. Loney signs from Evesham United and also has level 4 experience with
Halesowen Town. Williams is another Wolves Casuals 'convert' who joins his former gaffer
at Hinckley, but he has already won West Midlands League titles with Bridgenorth Town and
Market Drayton Town. |
